why would you buy gh3 without a guitar? you can use a controller but thats just stupid. it takes the fun out of the game.

I'm sure it is. There are even achievements for doing so. But, I wouldn't want to play that way, it's not nearly as fun.

It's actually a little easier once you get used to it due to lack of "strumming". It's smoother with the Guitar for the feel tho.

if your hand eye coordination is good enough, yes it should be easier because you do not have to strum

i hear some people actually prefer to play this way and yes it is possible. some argue its even easier to do it that way. i however have not got the hang of it and stick to the good ole guitar.

You can get a really cheap guitar, you should try to do that. You can do with it the controller, but like everyone said, just not as fun
