We found a bunch of YouTube vids where people had somehow modded GH3 (360) and were playing their own music from the hard drive along with custom-created guitar tracks. Anyone know what I need to do this, and what the procedure is?

they could have used xna game studio and wrote their own code to mimic gh, with xna game studio you can write your own c# programs 3d or 2d and port them directly to your xbox360.

They're doing it on a PC. I noticed that they got a Windows-esque message when one of them locked up their computer.

I think they are actually doing that on a PC version of it. I've yet to find a way to do it on 360. I've looked everywhere for a guide, details, etc but could only find PC stuff. Anyone find a 360 one I'd love to know where.

I have no idea how you woud go about doing that. Sounds difficult though. You just may want to wait until the Fall when you can create your own stuff because it's included in the game.
