Last night on Xplay they mentioned the the normal mode in Ninja Gaiden Sigma was actually the hard mode in Japan. Any theory on why the US game was made more intense by comparison?

It was probably out in Japan first and they felt they wanted to improve it by the time the U.S. version was released.

wrong that was devil may cry 3 they mentioned that about. i feel they do it because it seems to me like us gamers sink more time into each game than japanese. the japanese tend to jump from title to title more often. i figure they know us consumers would appreciate all the modes and take the time to play through them.
