Hard to say, most people that wanted drums and vocals may have already bought Rock band, I know for myself I dont want to shell out another 150ish $ for more equipement that I dont have room for.

No it will not shut down rockband, but it will give it some stiff competition. Rock Band does not have the user created songs and that could make Rock Band sales slow, but in the end only time will tell.

Probably not I think it is to late to shut down rockband. We will have to wait and see.

I have to say I'm kind of annoyed by the whole situation with Guitar Hero IV. I've already bought Rock Band, and the peripherals are taking up valuable space as it is. Now I'm supposed to buy all new peripherals to take up even more of my game space? Ugh. Still, I'm a Guitar Hero junkie, so I'll probably end up buying it. Anyway, to answer the actual question, I hope it does shut down Rock Band. Nothing against Rock Band (I love it!) but having only one of the two games remaining would simplify things greatly.

no, cuz they'll both continute to have different songs...its like people owning both systems to play all the games...people will get both games to play every song.

Im not buying it. If you can use your drums and all from rockband with it then we have something then, but Im doubting it. I like the guitars and mic and hardly use my drums now anyway.

Probably will just buy the game.

i dont think it will just because people already spent so much on the rockband peripherals that they wont wanna spend anymore on guitar hero ones. HOWEVER. i may just take my economy stimulus check and put it towards guitar hero, and who knows who else is gonna do that.

It can probably take some of the market back from rock band....but i doubt it will shut it down
