MMORPG's that aren't WOW

Anyone know some good MMORPG's thats not WOW. I used to play Silkroad but quit because of a huge bot problem. Alot of my friends play Runescape but i never really got into it. Any suggestions?

I play Final Fantasy XI its a good game.

Stargate Worlds(coming out later this year) and Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar

ares it is a game that really sucked it was like a messed up runescape game with better graphics but otherwise it SUCKS. (ask my friend evan he showed me it.)

Honestly for a free game Guild Wars isn't all that bad. Not my cup of tea but still. Also Age of Conan is out this month and Warhammer Online later this year. Conan I am on the fence about and Warhammer definitely has promise to be a solid MMO

Warhammer online is coming out, it looks pretty good to me. It has the same monthly rate of 15$ though.

If your PC can handle it go get Age of Conan now!

I used to play final fantasy 11, everquest 1 starwars galxies, planet side,.

I beta tested world of warcraft for a few months.

Now i play everquest 2 I like it better than WOW. they change it all the time and improve it.

better character creation choices you can make a singing frog bard if you want. there is tons of class and race choices.

MMORPG's are the devil. I played WoW for months, sometimes 12-13 hours a day. It seems you're ALWAYS in the middle of something in a MMO, it's terrible. I'm surprised my wife didn't divorce me. I've moved away from them, and don't reccomend them to anyone.

BUT since you asked for one, I WILL reccomend Everquest 2 or Guildwars. Also, Warhammer Online is coming out. If you haven't read about Warhammer, I suggest you do. It looks like it's going to be the WoW killer we've all been waiting for..

FFXI is a great game. people say its a grind fest, but its different from the rest b/c you always have other people by your side.

Sword of the new world was a p2p but now u can download it for free. it has a 3man character system which is really fun. its like finalfantasy in real time

Sword of the New world is pretty cool, i reccomend it if you like japanese style in your MMO, kinda like final fantasy in real time as Stiltbros said, its pretty fun and stylish, i like the music lol

Everquest 2, Age of Conan, Vanguard, Guild Wars, Dark Age of Camelot, Tabula Rasa, Lord of the Rings Online. Those are the ones that I've tried and actually like. Give Age of Conan a whirl if you have a decent system. It's a bit more involved than WoW. But in a good way - not an unnecessarily annoying way.

Warhammer Online is too close to wow but Age of Conan is something new thats furtherest away from wow mmorpg related.
So I would suggest Hellgate London, Tabula Rasa, and Age of Conan.

Rohan: Blood Feud. Look it up. It's good stuff.
